Namor is a fictional character in the Marvel Universe created by Bill Everett. The character’s first appearance was in 1939 in “Marvel Comics #1” as one of the main characters in Timely Comics, along with Captain America and the original Human Torch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But Namor’s story dates back much earlier; his birth was in 1915. Namor is the son of princess Fen, the daughter of Emperor Thakorr, and his father, Leonard McKenzie, a marine captain. They both fell in love aboard a ship where she spied on human intruders. When Fen returned, the Atlantean warriors attacked the boat and killed McKenzie, and made Fen return to the kingdom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Namor is a mutant who later becomes the Prince of Atlantis; his name means “avenger son,” and he dedicated himself to attacking all transgressors towards his people on the surface. Throughout his life, Namor has been a member of the Invaders, the All-Winners Squad, the Avengers, and the Defenders and has been the caretaker of two of the Infinity Stones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is considered the first antihero of comics, and for some fans, he has also been Marvel’s first mutant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
